Synopsis

Five years after the treacherous Wizard of Oz ( Jeff Goldblum ) branded her as the Wicked Witch of the West, Wicked: For Good follows Elphaba ( Cynthia Erivo ) living a life of seclusion as she tries to bring the Wizard down. For help, she reaches out to her old rival turned friend Glinda the Good ( Ariana Grande ) and sister Nessarose ( Marissa Bode ), who both have their own selfish intentions under the Wizard’s new regime. The Wizard continues his misinformation campaign to keep the public opinion of Elphaba low but finds his power threatened as a tornado blows into Oz carrying a certain girl from Kansas.

Perhaps it’s because I wasn’t really expecting anything from it, but I was quite taken
