Dancing with Parkinson’s makes everyone in the room feel young again.
Sarah Robichaud founded DWP in 2008. But she’s in Toronto -- it wasn’t until the pandemic-era when she began connecting with dancers in the Okanagan (and throughout Canada) thanks to online classes.
One of Robichaud’s biggest fans from the valley is Nikos Theodosakis, and he invited her to visit. So last week, Robichaud was in Penticton and Kelowna promoting DWP during a tour of British Columbia.
“Nikos is absolutely committed and religious about coming to our classes -- he’s such an engaged member of our online community,” Robichaud said.
Also, DWP allows people of any ability to throw down on a dance floor – something that can be hard to find for people with disabilities.
