The Cincinnati Bengals will likely be without some key defenders for Week 12 against the New England Patriots and are set to be down their top offensive weapon in Ja’Marr Chase (suspension) as well.
Quarterback Joe Burrow is progressing in his recovery from his toe injury but is unlikely to suit up on Sunday too.
Cincinnati did, however, welcome a pair of players back to practice on Wednesday, including former Patriots tight end Mike Gesicki.
“We have cleared S Daijahn Anthony and TE Mike Gesicki to return to practice today,” the Bengals official account posted on X.
While the move is a step in the right direction for Gesicki — who’s been on injured reserve since Oct. 15 with a pectoral ailment — there’s no guarantee that he’ll take the field in Week 12.
