MINNEAPOLIS — Black Friday shopping not your gig? Save your pennies and get outside instead to enjoy waived admission to all Minnesota state parks and recreation areas.

Friday, Nov. 28 is the fourth and last free entrance day of 2025, but parks are open to the public year-round. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) says the goal for Free Park Day is to "encourage families and friends to spend time together in nature."
