NORRISTOWN — A Delaware County man was sent to jail for being the ringleader in a conspiracy with three others during a burglary at a Collegeville jewelry store that netted the culprits more than $380,000 in merchandise.

Lawrence Jainlett Dass, 28, of the 1600 block of Powell Road in Chester Township, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 10-to-23-months in the county jail after he pleaded guilty to felony charges of burglary, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities and theft by unlawful taking or disposition in connection with the 4:34 a.m. Feb. 9, 2024, break-in at Sabre’s Fine Jewelry store in the 400 block of East Main Street in Collegeville.

Judge Steven T. O’Neill, who characterized the incident as a “smash and grab” jewelry heist, also ordered Dass to complete four years
