COVINGTON, Ky. —
The Kentucky Department of Education released the latest Kentucky School Report Card list Wednesday, which monitors and keeps schools accountable across the commonwealth.
In the report, every school in Kentucky is graded on a color scale, with red representing the lowest performance, followed by orange and yellow in the middle, green next and blue as the highest performance indicator. Advertisement
Among the schools that touted their progress made in the Northern Kentucky area is Covington Independent Schools.
Across the district, the elementary and high schools earned yellow grades, with middle schools at orange.
The district said Holmes High School has made great progress over the past years and is close to getting one of the highest proficiency benchmarks.
