CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — Firefighters put out a fire in a Champaign church Wednesday afternoon.
It happened just before 12:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Bloomington Road.
According to the City of Champaign, firefighters from both the Champaign and Urbana fire departments responded to multiple reports called in by people passing by.
Once on scene, crews saw smoke coming from the roof eaves and windows near the top of the building.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
