It may seem impossible to track, but 30% of all drivers in the U.S. record their vehicle trips with a dash cam, according to autoinsurance.com . That equates to 69 million American drivers. Another recent survey by a law firm in South Carolina estimates the figure to be 13% nationwide.

In either case, a lot of drivers are documenting their rides.

What is indisputable is that dash cam video can be an absolute factor in court cases.
