A 43-year-old man was fatally struck by three vehicles while walking along the Long Island Expressway service road.
The incident happened just after 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Jericho, along the north service road of the LIE near Open Street, according to Nassau County Police.
A man was walking eastbound when he was first hit by a Mazda driven by a 79-year-old man. Moments later, he was struck again by an Alfa Romeo operated by a 48-year-old man, and then a third time by a Mazda driven by a 40-year-old woman.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His name, age, and hometown were being withheld pending family notification.
All three drivers remained at the scene and were cooperating with the investigation, police said.
