CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Some conservative Latinos in Charlotte say they support Border Patrol removing dangerous offenders , but argue the current approach is creating fear and political division in immigrant communities.
Giovanni Triana, a conservative Latino who was born in Mexico and moved to Charlotte at age 5, says he believes in law and order but feels both political parties are failing his community.
“It’s a desperate plea for me to ask folks to return to conservatism, to limited government, free market, family-based values, Christian values our country was founded on,” Triana said.
Triana says both sides are failing to make a difference.
