PLYMOUTH, Mass. —

Volunteers for America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration are finalizing new floats for Plymouth's parade this Saturday, which town leaders say has become a major economic boost for the community.

"If you would've asked me 20 something years ago, do I think it would've reached this level? I probably would've said, never would've imagined," said Dick Quintal, chair of the Plymouth Select Board.

Quintal said every hotel room and all the restaurants downtown are booked, and the parade's impact extends beyond the Saturday event to the entire weekend.

He estimates the economic impact from the parade is now in the millions.
