A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle around 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19 in the Costco Wholesale parking lot in Sparks.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, Sparks police said. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating.

The Sparks Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating.

Parts of the Costco parking lot will be closed off until further notice, and Sparks police encourage residents to avoid the area.
