AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Runners laced up their sneakers to kick off the Annual Amarillo National Bank Turkey Trot earlier today.
Runners gathered at the ANB lobby and raced through downtown to the High Plains Food Bank where the donation of $1,000 from Amarillo National Bank was presented.
Zack Wilson, the executive director of the High Plains Food Bank says this donation will benefit many households across the area.
“It’s a great event it promote health and wellness and also helps benefits us this year in a year that its much needed. We’re just glad to have them and a turkey to show up as well to kind of celebrate the event,” he said.
The donated funds will go toward helping relieve food insecurity over the holiday season.
