A misdemeanor charge against former El Paso City Rep. Joe Molinar has been dismissed.

El Paso City Rep. Joe Molinar, who served on the City Council from 2021 to 2025, declined to comment.

A criminal charge involving a hit-and-run crash was dismissed against former city representative and El Paso police officer Jose Raul "Joe" Molinar , court records show.

A charge of duty on striking an unattended vehicle against Molinar, 65, was dismissed on Oct. 20 in County Court at Law 4. The charge was a misdemeanor in connection with a June 29 incident, where Molinar was accused of hitting an unattended car at a Lower Valley restaurant and fleeing from the scene.

Molinar declined to comment.
