Georgia State Patrol troopers are investigating a deadly car crash on State Route 151, also known as Alabama Highway.

It happened after 4:00pm on Monday, November 10, according to a preliminary report.

A young female juvenile with a learner's permit partially traveled off the roadway with her passenger side tires, and overcorrected while navigating a left curve.

The car began rotating counterclockwise into oncoming traffic, eventually colliding with an SUV, which struck her passenger side.

A 50-year-old woman, who was sitting in the front seat of the juvenile's car, died on the scene.

We've learned her name is Dawn Payne. She was 50 years old.
