HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) - A student has been arrested after police say made a threat against a Humboldt County school.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report that a 14-year-old boy made threats to bring a weapon to Paradise Valley School to harm students and staff.

Police say the juvenile identified specific students and staff he intended to harm and had asked another juvenile about obtaining a weapon.

The juvenile has now been charged with making threats or conveying false information concerning acts of terrorism and booked into the Humboldt County Juvenile Detention Center.

The Sheriff’s Office says less than two hours had passed from the time the report was made to when the juvenile was arrested.
