RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Two horses, Stu and Tyler, are now on the road to recovery at Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) after being rescued from a dire situation on the Eastern Shore.
Their healing journey is being made possible, in part, by the funds from the #TeamTommie license plates.
The Tommie Fund, established by RACC, was created with a clear mission : to provide immediate, life-saving assistance to animals in need across the region.
Stu and Tyler, now recovering at RACC’s barn in Richmond, are prime examples of the fund’s critical impact.
These two sweethearts were recovered from a farm on the Eastern Shore, found in extremely poor health.
“It (the funding) allows us to help immediately with veterinary needs for each jurisdiction that participates,” Christie Chipps-Peter
