The Cincinnati Bengals released a significant injury update on star quarterback Joe Burrow, which could alter the AFC playoff race.

Cincinnati was dealt a huge blow back in Week 2, when Joe Burrow suffered a turf toe injury that has sidelined him ever since. Initially, there was some doubt that Burrow would play again this season.

But in a pleasant surprise of an update, the Bengals announced that Burrow was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

It remains to be seen if Burrow will actually play against the 9-2 Patriots, but it’s nonetheless an encouraging update for Bengals fans, who truly haven’t had much to celebrate this season.
