Officials in New Jersey have revealed the identities of the man who was killed in a Gloucester County crash earlier this month as well as the officer who tried to stop the car that ultimately led to the crash.

The incident unfolded on Nov. 9 just after 5:30 p.m. when a worker at PNS Gas and Food Mart called police to report two men who were drunk, officials said.

When the officers got to the gas station, they saw a white car drive away that matched the description given by the worker, police said.

As the white car drove off onto Hessian Road, West Deptford Police patrolman Conor Goggin was in a marked patrol car and turned on his emergency lights to try and stop the driver, officials explained.
