According to the National Weather Service, a storm system will move over the Kenai Peninsula late Wednesday through Thursday, bringing in warm air aloft as surface temperatures remain at or below freezing.
Any flurries or light snow tonight may change to very light freezing rain by early Thursday morning.
Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid 30s by late Thursday morning changing any lingering light precipitation to rain.
However, with ground temperatures around freezing, any rain could still freeze on contact with road surfaces. Accumulations are expected to be very light, on the order of a trace to a couple hundredths of an inch.
