2Wilkes-Barre resident reports refrigerator stolen in McLean Street burglary
WILKES-BARRE, PA — A 75-year-old man returned to his Wilkes-Barre apartment Monday to find the rear door forcibly removed and his refrigerator gone, prompting a burglary investigation by city police.
Officers responded to the scene on McLean Street just after 10 a.m. on November 17, where the victim reported that an unknown suspect broke into his second-floor unit sometime between Friday and Monday. According to police, the rear entry door appeared to have been pried open or dismantled.
The only item reported stolen was a white Frigidaire-brand refrigerator, valued at roughly $400. Police have not released any suspect information or leads as of Wednesday. No surveillance footage or eyewitnesses were mentioned
