BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — A new rezoning proposal in Blythewood could mean more homes in an area once known for farming, and some residents are concerned.
“Even a small subdivision would be pretty devastating for us,” said Katie, who lives just off Fulmer Road on Blythebrook Road — the same road where a large piece of property has been requested for rezoning.
The parcel at 214 Blythebrook Road is 133 acres, according to Richland County’s Geographic Information Systems. News 19 has not confirmed the exact amount of land included in the rezoning request but has submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to the county for clarification. News 19 is still waiting for more information from Richland County about the property.
