KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City has a back-to-back MVP in its midst.

Wednesday night, Kansas City Current forward Temwa Chawinga was named the 2025 NWSL MVP, winning the award for a second straight season after a record-setting year for her.

Chawinga also won back-to-back Golden Boot awards as she became the first player in league history to win consecutive MVPs. She’s now the second player in NWSL history to be a multi-time MVP.

Chawinga finished the 2025 season with a league-high 15 goals and had 3 assists in her 23 regular season appearances.
