JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — With Kroger announcing the suspension of its delivery operations in Florida beginning January, more than 1000 employees throughout the state will lose their jobs.
WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notices issued by Kroger show that 181 employees at its Jacksonville Fulfillment Center will lose their jobs when the Northside facility shuts down on Feb. 1, 2026. A majority of those impacted are delivery drivers.
Similar notices were also issued for fulfillment centers in Groveland, Orlando, Rockledge and Tampa.
Nearly 1000 employees who report to the main fulfillment center in Groveland alone lose their jobs when it closes, according to the Nov. 18 WARN notice.
Jacksonville employees will continue to receive regular pay and benefits, according to
