Seattle police officers arrested a 31-year-old felon for eluding police in a stolen truck Tuesday afternoon following an eagle-eyed police track from a helicopter.
On Nov 18, at about 2:00 p.m., patrol officers, equipped with an Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR), found a stolen Ford F-150 near Meridian Avenue North and North Northgate Way.
King County’s Sheriff’s Guardian One helicopter quickly arrived in the area and tracked the stolen truck from the air. Police attempted traffic stops, yet the driver took off, “The vehicle eluded recklessly, driving away at high speed in a crowded residential area,” according to the police report.
The passenger bailed on foot as the vehicle eluded, and officers quickly caught him following Guardian One’s directions. Officers later investigated and
