President Donald Trump just threatened to fire two top officials during a wild rant on Wednesday complaining about high interest rates.

Trump repeated his usual attacks against Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell during a speech at the Saudi Investment Forum at the Kennedy Center on Wednesday. He also took a swipe at Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent , who was in the audience during his remarks.

“Scott, you got to work on this guy. He’s got some real mental problems, and there’s something wrong with him. To be honest, I’d love to fire his ass. He should be fired,” Trump said of Powell, calling him “grossly incompetent.”
