ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man has been found guilty Wednesday for shooting at a school bus in North St. Louis City.
Police say Everett Stephenson, 40, was found guilty of first degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a gun under subsection 9 for shooting from a car, unlawful possession of a gun, and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Court documents state that in June 2023, Stephenson was angry after believing a school bus allegedly cut him off while he was driving. As the bus made a right hand turn, he shot at the back of the bus that contained two employees and a six-year-old student.
Court documents also said that the bus was damaged, but nobody was injured. Multiple witnesses said they heard Stephenson shooting at the bus.
