Reno police arrested a 49-year-old man Wednesday after a road rage incident ended in gunfire near Double R Boulevard and South Meadows Parkway, police said.

The shooting happened around 6 a.m. when a driver pulled alongside another vehicle and fired a single round, shattering the window and striking the driver’s-side headrest, police said. The driver sustained minor injuries.

Officers identified the suspect as Donn Clifton within an hour and took him into custody. He was booked on suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

Jail records show no bail or court date set as of Wednesday afternoon.
