WACO, Texas — La Vega senior guard Rhianna Kinsey made her college decision official Wednesday, signing to continue her basketball career at UTSA.

Kinsey becomes the Lady Pirates’ sixth signee since 2023 and the fourth to land with an NCAA Division I program. She has been one of La Vega’s top performers this season, averaging 19 points, five rebounds and three steals per game.

Kinsey said the accomplishment is one she once believed might not be possible.

“Before I started high school, I wouldn't have expected myself to be in these shoes, um, and I just worked hard and honestly every day and now I'm here where I'm at, where I'm at, so it feels good,” she said.
