Anyone hoping the Mavericks would shed all reminders of the controversial Luka Doncic trade will have to keep waiting.
Dallas minority owner Mark Cuban told The Athletic on Wednesday the organization has no plans to trade Anthony Davis this season.
“We won’t. We want to try to win,” Cuban, formerly the team’s majority owner, told the outlet.

Cuban also confirmed to The Athletic that he is “an adviser” to team governor Patrick Dumont, who will make all the final calls about the team. Cuban had previously stepped back from day-to-day basketball operations after the Adelson family bought a majority stake in the team in 2023
