First responders in Franklin County on Wednesday evening were sent to a stabbing along the Pennsylvania Turnpike, according to county 911 dispatchers.

The incident took place around 5:40 p.m. near mile marker 201 on the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76), near the Blue Mountain Tunnel.

Dispatchers initially called the incident out as a “traumatic injury,” but later said it was a stabbing.

The events leading up to the stabbing were unclear as of 6:30 p.m. There is no word on how many people were injured.

PennDOT listed the incident on 511PA.com , telling eastbound and westbound drivers in the area to expect delays and lane closures.
