SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The City of Scottsville is celebrating a new addition to its downtown square in the form of a new elevated crosswalk.

It sits right by the Allen County Public Library as you come into the square from Gallatin Road.

The project has been in the works for about five years, and the main goal is pedestrian safety.

There used to be trees decorating the square, but they made it harder for drivers to see people crossing, so the city removed them and made safety the top priority as they moved forward with this project.
