A man who was driving a car which struck and seriously injured a teenage girl after a car club meet-up in Perth has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm.
Chun Lai Yuen was driving a sedan on Camfield Drive in the Burswood Casino precinct in July when it hit Caitlyn Dickson, 17, who was crossing the road on foot.
Footage of the incident was widely shared on social media at the time and sparked a public debate about safety at organised car cruises.
There were dozens of witnesses to the crash, with one telling the ABC saying it was a "horrific" scene.
The Perth Magistrate Court today heard Ms Dickson suffered multiple injures including a fractured pelvis, fractured elbow, tears to her bladder and spleen, and a torn aorta.
