If Silk Sonic went country… they’d look a little something like this. During Thursday night’s CMA Awards ceremony, Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert , or Lamberton if you will, performed their collaboration, “ A Song to Sing ,” which finds them giving their country sound a disco twist.
Surrounded by a full band and dressed in matching burgundy suits and beige country hats, the duo performed beneath a giant disco ball. (The only thing missing was a roller rink!) “You are a part of me / Baby, you’re the heart of me,” the duo harmonized on the track. “Together we can write a song to sing.”
Stapleton and Lambert released the song in July, drawing inspiration from the classic duets made iconic by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton in that era. They followed it with a roller-rink–filmed
