CHEYENNE — Officials with U.S. Gold Corp and the Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities have crafted a new water service agreement that would supply the planned CK Gold Mine 20 miles west of Cheyenne with water from Crystal Reservoir and the South Crow Pipeline.
The agreement came before members of the Cheyenne City Council’s Public Services Committee at a meeting Monday.
The new outside user water services agreement, which will be in effect until Jan. 1, 2040, replaces an earlier plan for the company to build its own well field and pipeline, and places the mine under the same curtailment rules as city customers during shortages.
