An officer rescued a kitten that was found inside a Tesla in San Mateo, the police department said Wednesday.
On Nov. 2, police said an officer responded to a call of service. The caller reported noise coming from inside their vehicle.
The police department said the responding officer, Officer Figueroa, opened the hood of the car and found a kitten “clinging to the engine.” The officer then “rolled up his sleeves” and rescued the cat from the inside of the vehicle.
According to the police department, the kitten was named “Figuero” in honor of the officer who rescued it.
