LIHUE (HawaiiNewsNow) - It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas on Kauai.
At the county building in Lihue, crews from the Kauai Island Utility Cooperative, Kauai Fire Department, and the county’s Emergency Management Agency spent Wednesday stringing up holiday lights ahead of the annual Lights on Rice Parade.
The parade is presented by the Rotary Club of Kauai and will take place on Friday, Dec. 5, at 6:30 p.m.
So far, 60 units with 3,000 performers will march on Rice Street from Hoolako Street to the County Building.
Applications to enter a float in the parade are still open.
