Fire crews remain on watch at the University of Warwick after a major blaze tore through student halls. Crews from every station in the city responded to 999 calls to report the fire at the Arthur Vick residence last night (November 19).
Students watched on in horror as bright orange flames tore through the accommodation. Canley Fire Station were first on the scene last night as the major operation to tackle the fierce fire got underway.
They were joined by engines from Coventry , Binley and Foleshill fire stations as well as hydraulic platforms, which were called into action to try and tackle the fire from the air.
Students in the Arthur Vick 1 residence were evacuated from the halls as the crews and many watched on from the campus site as the emergency operation got underway
