The DWP has issued a warning to Attendance Allowance claimants
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has revealed that over 1.7 million people across the UK were receiving additional financial support through Attendance Allowance at the end of February this year.
The tax-free benefit is worth either £73.90 or £110.40 each week, with the funds aimed at assisting older people with daily living expenses. However, many recipients may not realise that there are several changes in circumstances which must be reported to the DWP's Attendance Allowance helpline on 0800 731 0122 as soon as possible - particularly if your condition alters or you're admitted to hospital - as these could impact entitlement or payments.
