A book-lover's favourite event has come and gone, as the Weyburn Public Library's fall book sale concluded on Saturday afternoon.
City Councillor Laura Morrissette, Chair of the Library Board, said she is so proud of her board for all of the work put into the sale.
"[It was] a very, very successful fall book sale. We raised just over $5,000 to put back towards just some improvements at the library building."
She said she was there for the whole three-day event, with opening day being one of the highlights.
"My favorite is always the Thursday morning, looking out the door and seeing the lineup down the street past the library headquarters of people wanting to come in and get those first-day deals."
