Former senator Linda Reynolds has dramatically escalated her criticisms of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s defence of Labor Ministers over the Brittany Higgins saga, predicting "the truth will surface".
The Prime Minister on Wednesday rejected suggestions senior Ministers Katy Gallagher and Penny Wong had “led the charge of a Liberal Party cover-up" following two judges' findings.
The judicial rulings rejected claims of Ms Higgins’ claim of a cover-up over her alleged rape, but Mr Albanese refused to concede the Labor Senators should apologise for their handling of the accusations.
Ms Reynolds has now insisted the “significance” of Mr Albanese’s comments on the matter should “not be understated”.
