STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center is drawing attention to what it believes will be a “significant” change in the weather pattern across much of the U.S.

As noted by the Climate Prediction Center, November has largely been cold in the East and warm in the West. Yet going forward, a number of factors may come into play and trigger a shift in temperatures that will extend through the end of the month and into December.

During the week of Thanksgiving, the Climate Prediction Center foresees milder conditions prevailing in the East. New York is expected to generally experience “near normal” temperatures from Nov. 26 to Dec. 2.
