Two Captured and Tied to a Tree for Stealing Phone at Graveyard in Blantyre

Two young men were captured and tied with ropes at the grave of Macheso, the great chief of Kapeni in Blantyre, after allegedly stealing a mobile phone belonging to another youth.

According to Ganizani Taombe, the theft was discovered when one of the youths noticed his phone missing. They appealed for the phone to be returned, but no one responded.

A search was then conducted at the gravesite, where one young man was found with the missing phone. He reportedly confessed and implicated his friend.

The two were apprehended and tied to a tree while the funeral proceedings continued.
