FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - On Wednesday, the State Board of Animal Health confirmed six more cases of bird flu have been detected in LaGrange County.
These new cases bring the total LaGrange County detections to 11 in the last week.
The latest detection lists six flocks of more than 107,000 in total.
According to the agency, the impacted flocks have since been quarantined, with a 10km control area active and a 20km surveillance zone in parts of Elkhart, LaGrange, and Noble Counties.
Board officials say the Hoosier state is the number one producer of ducks in the country.
