A 69-year-old man is facing criminal charges after prosecutors say he hit and killed a bicyclist in Framingham on Wednesday.
At around 9:50 a.m., Framingham police went to the area of Gorman Road and Concord Street, near Framingham District Court, for a report of a bicyclist hit by a vehicle. The vehicle involved did not remain at the scene, said Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan and Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker in a statement.
The bicyclist, a 43-year-old man from Framingham, was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries, according to the statement. Framingham police later arrested Paulo Castro, of Framingham, after they say he was identified as the driver involved in the collision.
Castro is charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing death. He
