India’s passenger vehicle volumes are likely to grow in double digits in the second half of the financial year 2025-26 (H2FY26), according to Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Managing Director and CEO Shailesh Chandra.
“My estimate is that it should be double-digit growth. In FY26, the first half had seen a decline of 1.6% before the festive period. So overall, it should be in the zone of 5% or so,” Chandra said during the carmaker’s second-quarter earnings call. Advertisement
“In September and October, the industry has grown by 5% and 17%. Even if I take out the festive demand or the pent-up demand, November and December should also be strong,” he said.
