New Delhi: Over the course of a single year, the height, diameter and payload capacity of ISRO’s Next Generation Launch Vehicle (NGLV), dubbed Soorya has been creeping upwards. In February, during a lecture series organised by the Physical Research Laboratory, ISRO Chairman V Narayanan revealed that the height of the NGLV was 91.4 metres. During an interaction with students at BITS Pilani in August, V Narayanan revealed that ISRO was now aiming for a 93 metre tall NGLV . At the second National Space Day Celebrations, ISRO revealed a 1:20 scale model of the Lunar Module Launch Vehicle (LMLV) , the mega-rocket necessary for a crewed lunar mission by 2040 .
