The Yuma Fire Department delivered a donation of fire rescue equipment Wednesday morning to Estación 7 in Los Algodones, Mexico, assisting the station as it works to replace essential gear lost in a recent accident.

YFD officials met with David Barbosa, Alexis Gonzales and Amado Quintero of Estación 7 to present the equipment, which department leaders said will help support emergency response efforts in the neighboring community.

“We are proud to work alongside Estación 7 and support the safety and wellbeing of their community,” the department said in a statement. “Strong partnerships make all of us safer, and we remain committed to helping our friends and neighbors.”
