LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - GE Appliances announced Thursday that more than $150 million in new contracts have been awarded to U.S.-based suppliers across 10 states for steel, resins, parts and components.
The investment will be the catalyst for some changes locally, with the company’s new washer and combo washer/dryer plant being built at its Louisville headquarters.
These new supplier contracts are incremental to the $490 million investment to expand laundry production in Louisville that GE Appliances announced earlier this year.
