PHOENIX (AZFamily) — After a man dropped his dead girlfriend’s body off at a police station this week, domestic violence advocates and survivors say situations like this are unacceptable.
Investigators have identified Josue Barreras Anaya as the man accused of shooting 32-year-old Jessica Guzman to death and bringing her body to a Phoenix Police substation early Tuesday morning.
Anaya, 36, is now jailed on one count of premeditated first-degree murder.
This case came just a few days after police arrested an 18-year-old man accused of shooting and killing his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend in her Avondale apartment earlier this month.
Advocates with New Life Center , one of several domestic violence organizations in the Valley, say cases like this are heartbreaking and frustrating
